Our Board

Camp Eagle Ridge Board MemberDan Fritts

Founder and Owner

My name is Dan Fritts, and I am a physical therapist living in Collinsville, Mississippi. I am married to Hyun Sook Fritts, but everyone calls her “Sam” for obvious reasons. We have two boys, Jesse, 15 years old, and Jay, who is 13. They both attend West Lauderdale High School, where they play on the soccer team. My interest in building a summer camp and working with young children began nearly 17 years ago when I was a student missionary. Before going to physical-therapy school, I was given the unique opportunity to be a student missionary at an orphanage in the city of Pusan, South Korea. My experience there changed my life and ignited a desire to work with children. Camp Eagle Ridge grew out of this desire.

Camp Eagle Ridge Board MemberDewayna Roberts

Director of Camp Eagle Ridge

My name is Dewayna Roberts, I live in Collinsville, Ms where I have lived all my life. I have a great passion for children as well as those with special needs. I love all children and teens and see all as equal individuals, who with the right role models can have their life shaped and molded to be good upstanding citizens who can pursue any dream! I believe that our camp will benefit our community for many years to come, and I am truly blessed to be a part of such an awesome thing. I would love to encourage all who read this to become a part of our camp. We need volunteers to support our dream. The children are our future, and you can participate and help mold and shape these kids into great community leaders. I believe the best thing that you can spend on a child is TIME!

Camp Eagle Ridge Board MemberJason Mowdy

My name is Jason Mowdy. I am married to Shea Mowdy, and we have one child, Taylor. I am a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville (FBCC), and I am the operator of Mowdy Cabinetry. My involvement with Camp Eagle Ridge began when Rod Hitt approached me about becoming involved in this project. He presented me with literature outlining the vision of Dan’s dream to create a place for children, youths, and the special-needs community to enjoy. As a youth, I was blessed to be a part of FBCC and enjoyed several youth camps. In recent years, I have participated with Builders for Christ in various projects. I believe that through these experiences, God has led me to be a part of this project. It would be a blessing to have a facility in our community where church groups, youth groups, and others can gather to fellowship, play, and participate in activities in a safe environment. I know with God’s blessing, Dan’s enthusiasm, and the volunteers’ help, this will be one of the best things that has happened to our community in a long time.
